The Investing in Innovation in Central Europe seminar was held for the third time in the City of London on 12 June 2019. The purpose of the event was to present investment opportunities and possibilities of cooperation in the countries of Central Europe. The seminar was organised by CzechInvest in cooperation with the commercial sections of eleven European embassies.
The forum was composed of four panel discussions. Jakub Lichnovský of PRK Partners appeared in the first part, which was focused on opportunities involving investment in infrastructure projects. The next two discussions belonged to successful Central European firms. The Czech Republic was represented by Avast, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange last year. The company’s vice-president, Peter Turner, spoke about the successes that Avast has achieved to date and the advantages of operating in Central Europe. The final part of the event was focused on the topic of general support for foreign investors.
