Tokyo Metro seeking suppliers among Czech firms

On Monday, 6 November 2017, representatives of the Japanese company Tokyo Metro met with five selected Czech manufacturers of drive control units and other components for trains and metro operation at CzechInvest’s headquarters in Prague. The Czech firms ŠKODA ELECTRIC, DAKO-CZ, ŽPSV, BONATRANS GROUP and ČKD Kutná Hora thus have an opportunity to gain lucrative orders and expand sales of their products abroad.

Tokyo Metro, which is involved in the operation and management of rail transport, was established on 1 April 2004. Its history dates back to 1920, when the original Tokyo Underground Railway Company was established. The firm, whose majority owner is the Japanese government, is based in Tokyo and currently employs nearly ten thousand people.

By means of registration in its Sectoral database of suppliers, CzechInvest offers all Czech firms the possibility to become involved in the supply chains of major companies, especially in the areas of mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, aerospace and the automotive industry, among other fields.
