Case Study: LEGO Group Brings Prosperity and Innovation to Czechia

CzechInvest has a long history of supporting the LEGO Group in its activities in Czechia. This cooperation brings a number of benefits, including investment, job creation and innovation.

The LEGO Group has been active in Czechia since 2000, when it opened a factory in Kladno. With the support of CzechInvest, production in Kladno has grown and is now one of three LEGO factories in Europe. It employs more than 3,500 people, making it one of the largest employers in the region. In addition to the factory in Kladno, the LEGO Group has a distribution centre in Jirny, a regional headquarters for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a sales unit and a shared services centre in Prague.

The LEGO Group is a valued employer, offering its employees stable work, good working conditions and opportunities for professional development. The company is actively involved in the development of Czech managers and offers them opportunities to work abroad. The LEGO Group cooperates closely with Czech companies and institutions in the field of research and development. An important partner is the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) at the Czech Technical University. Joint projects focus on the use of artificial intelligence to improve and streamline production.
